Different Types of Security Cameras

There are many different types of security cameras nowadays. This time let me introduce these types systematically. Generally security cameras are divided into two main types: analog and digital.

1.Analog cameras
A.Home used cameras. We will see those small bullet cameras and dome cameras, including small IR cameras are usually used for homes and small stores. Several years ago, the resolution for these home used cameras is only 380 TV lines. With rapid development of technologies, we right now produce mainly 600 TV lines and 700 TV lines cameras. They have been very common and not so expensive.

So higher requirements on the equipment are needed, such as WDR, electric auto lens, big zoom times and high definition. A stable surveillance system is also required.

C.To meet higher demand, intelligent high speed dome cameras are developed. We usually call it PTZ cameras. Because its lens can rotate 360 degrees, it is usually used in squares or halls. 2.Digital cameras.

FAQ for CCTV Camera

1.DVR Card problem;(1). Check the BNC connector of the DVR channels, if the image also have the image interference., it must be the DVR Card problem.
(2). DVR ground wire do not connect it well. Check the gournd wire if not , add it and restart the DVR without outage.

2.DVR single channel or few channel has image interference, flicking and a line in the middle of the image.(1). Check the Security camera is working well;
(2). Check th BNC is good one;
(3). Check the video line.

3. PTZ Camera or High speed dome can not control it;(1). Check DVR RS-485 port is working well;
(2). Check the Voltage of RS-485 beside the Zoom modules and PTZ;
(3). Separate testing. Check each channel conncect to DVR, and find the one which can not control it;
(4). Check the decoder or hardware of ptz camera;
(5). Address, baud rate, and protocol.

4.Box camera, all in one camera no video image;AC220 Voltage is regular;
Power supply output and input;
RS-485 or BNC Connector is right and well.

5.Black screen for monitor;AC 220V voltage is regular.
Check the monitor on your computers.

6.DVR keyboard can not be controlled;(1). DVR DC 12V is ok;
(2). Electrical current is OK.

7.DVR has Alarm noise.(1). HDD has problems or fault;
(2). Video loss;
(3). Alarm signal has been triggered.
