PTZ is the short name of Pan/Tilt/Zoom, but I think some people don't know it very much. Actually, PTZ is a installing platform, made up by two pcs alternating current. Horizontal or vertical movement are available. It is different between the ptz of cctv camera and the ptz of photo camera. In general, there is only one tripod for photo camera's PTZ. We have to adjust it by our hands personally. For the PTZ in cctv system, we can control it through control system,such DVR or Keyboard. It's easy.

Now,There are many PTZ styles in the market from the environment. We have indoor PTZ and ourdoor PTZ. The advantage of ourdoor PTZ is good tightness、weatherproof、dustproof and higher burden. From the installing method, we have side mounted and hoisting method. The side mounted means the PTZ installed on the wall. The hoisting method means installing the PTZ on the ceiling. From the appearance, we have common and ball style and can put the ball style PTZ in a protective case, except preventing dust and disturbance. It is also beautiful and speedy.

Do you konw what the twisted pair transmission(Video Balum) for the security camera?

It is a new technology in the recent years. Then what is twisted pair transmission? It is usually common network wire. This technology refers to differential transmission principle. The end equipment is called Video Balum. This equipment transmits the video signals into other signals of the same wave, but opposite polarities. After transmission, the receiver compares the signals of opposite polarities and makes them into normal video signals. This equipment can low down the common mode interference by much, even in the intense interference environment. And the quality of video which is transmitted by Video Balum is better than traditional way.

When choose video balums and wires for the security camera, pay attention to:
1.Choose the qualified wires. There are 8 wires as a group. The resistance the each wire must be lower than 15 ohm/100m.
2.If the distance of transmission is less than 150M, we can choose passive balums. If the distance is within 650M, we can choose passive balums at the frond side, and positive balums at the end side. If the distance is between 650M to 1500M, we have to choose positive balums at both ends.
3.If we set up network outdoor, it is better to choose water-resist wires, although they are more expensive.
