CMOS Camera with IR-CUT

CMOS camera, no dobout, is becming more and more acceptable on the market. Not only because of its chepaer price, but its quality and technology is becoming more and more better.

But compared with Sony and Sharp cameras, CMOS camera also has its disadvantages. For example, its has too much noise and the picture quanlty is not very good in the night. So to solve these problems, people find a best way which is to use the IR-CUT on the CMOS cameras.

So you may wonder what the IR-CUT is? To make thing simple, we can say that IR-cut has two filiters. One is for day time and the other one is for the evening. When the cameras work at daytime, the IR-CUT will let the the day one work, and this filter will reduce the extra infrared light into the CMOS sensors, so correct the image. The same theory, in the evening, the other one will work, and let more light enter into the CMOS sensor, so the image will become more better and brighter.

For the common cameras on the CCTV market, like the Sony and Sharp CCTV cameras, they usually do not use the IR-CUT, as their sensors works well in the evening. But if they use the IR-CUT, the image will become better. Of course, the price will be a little higher.
