UTP Video Balun Transceiver: we also call it “Video Balun” which is a very important part of CCTV Camera accessories.

Today I will give a brief introduction about CCTV camera lens. We all know, the Lens is an essential part of CCTV camera, like our eyes which can catch the object. The different point is : our eyes can view really objects, but the camera will catch image depend on in different environment. For example: it will show yellow in dark Yellow -fluorescent lamp.

What we should pay attention to is all these number above are the focal length , not the physical dimension
Applications:
1. Wide-angle lens: perspective:>90°focus length: 2.5mm; 2.8mm
2. Standard lens: perspective about:30°, this kind of Lens are widely used.
3. Zoom length: min focal length:6mm, max :45°. the focal length can be adapted to enlarge or narrow the image by adjusting the position of the focus. (moving the relative position of the lens) The longer the focal length, the broader the horizontal field of view, and  the bigger the image.

The Most Common Problem for CCTV Camera

Just llike the other electronic device, the CCTV cameraalso will have many many problems. Here I’d like to share with you how to solve the most common problems for CCTV Camera.

The first problem will be no signal on the monitor. If so you have to think about that if the cable connections are ok. In fact, it is the most common problem people will meet.So next time, you meet this problem, please just check them. If the connection are all right, then the problem will be a little complicated.

Sometime you will find the picture background color changes continuously. Maybe the TV system is wrong. If your TV system is PAL, but you use the NTSC system.

The other problem maybe the fluorescent lamp’s electromagnetic fileld cause the color changes. So you need reduce the fluorescent lamp numbers or increase the distance between the cameras and the fluorescent lamps.

The last possible problem is that there is no image at the night. For this the reason maybe the power for the CCTV cameras is not enough. If you use cables at 50m, and you still use the DC12V 1A power supply. Maybe the power will weak so much at the camera ens. And it can not support the IR Led work.

A case of CCTV Camera Faults

As we know, when our customers use the CCTV Camera, it might be have some problems that make them troubled. Below is the common cctvcamrea faults from my customers and how we solve it.

1.      The DVR can not control the Address of PTZ cameras.

One of my customers told me that he has 1 problem with the ptz ,as they are only working as ptz 1. if i put on dip switch 2 on the 10 row the ptz is not taking the address. it only working on dip switch 1. I have tried different dip switches put no change. Their are only working on ptz 1.

Then I tell him that we have two ways to control the address of PTZs,

A.hardware address,we have to choose  the hardware address(not the software address)in the PTZ cameras menu before you change their DIP switch,and the PTZ address should set separately one by one before you connect them to the DVR or Keyboard(do you use keyboard?);not at the same time,

B software address,we can set their software address from keyboard or DVR,you can have try.it's easier set than from DIP switch.

2.      The cctv camera no image on the screen.

Last time my customer bought the IR dome camera from our factory, but when he tested it, he told me that camera no image. He sent me photo of CCTV System. I asked him to check the following things carefully

A.      the power supply DC 12V 1A..  whether it is not connected well. And Voltage is enough and right Power standard.

B.      the BNC connector connect well or not

C.      CCD board and DSP of cctv camera has problems, so it can not work and no image

D.     CCTV cables has problems…

It is very easy to maintain a CCTV camera. For all kinds of CCTV camera, the daily maintaining is to keep them working in a suitable environment. The temperature should be in the proper scale, and so as the humidity.
If your camera is a dome CCTV camera which is installed indoor, you could do nearly nothing except the camera has something wrong. Maybe sometimes there will be some dusts on the dome cover, then what we need to do it to clean it.
If your camera is an outdoor CCTV camera, what you should do is just check the cables and the housing is in good condition or not. The front glass sometimes will be stained by dusts, water or other things. So that we should keep the glass clean time to time.
If you adopt a PTZ camera, we should check the PTZ function every half a month. It is very necessary.
Above is for daily maintaining. And if the cameras are used after one year, you’d better test the cameras’ working condition, including resolution, working circuit consumption, temperature and the quality of the record video.
Once if the cameras failed during using, please check the power supply first, and then the cable and connectors. If they all right, please submit the failed cameras to the maintaining centre of the manufacturer. If your cameras are bought from Borsche, you can send cameras back to Borsche. Borsche will fix them for you. If they are still in warranty time(2 years), the service is totally for free.

Security camera is a very useful thing to protect people’s property.
In modern life, security cameras appears everywhere, such as supermarket, office, street, factory and so on. Usually, the security cameras will be installed at the entrance and exit of supermarket, office, street, but for residence, what kind of security camera should be used and where should to install?
In general,people’s residence will has two entrance,one garden and totally two floors;
So firstly, focusing on the security of the garden, it’s a big environment, and it’s the first step to install cameras. Put a security IR weatherproof CCTV cameras on the wall of the garedn. This camera should be with high resolution, 600tvl or 700tvl good choice and should have 15-20meteres IR distance. Then we finish the first work of security.
Secondly, intall two cameras for that two entrance of the residence, one for each entracne, indoor or outdoor camera are both fine. It will be better if mounted 3.6mm lens for this two security cameras. Because small lens has big view angle. It can be able to see everything clearly.

Thirdly, install one indoor camera for the hall of the residence and mount one indoor camera for important property,for example,safe case.
If you still think not safe, then add one in second floor, watch whole thing of the garden.
And for this camera, it should be mounted big lens, such as 6mm or 8 mm lens, weatherproof case with around 30 meteres IR range. So do you know where should you install security camera now?
