CCTV Camera Installation Guide

I will show you how to install CCTV Cameras to form a simple surveillance system. Firstly let’s see the indication of guide below:

This is a simple system. There are four cameras, one DVR and a monitor. If we buy a DVR kit, the necessary accessories are included, such as video and power cable, power supply, remote, VGA cable, etc. Let’s install them step by step.

First step: install the cameras in the right place. Use tools to fix the cameras on the wall or ceiling or other proper places. Please note the indoor cameras mustn’t be installed outdoor.

Second step: place the cable on/in the right places. It is better to hide the cables if possible. And make sure the shortest way from the cameras to the DVR.

Third step: connect the cables to the cameras and DVR and power supply. I have a suggestion. It is better to make a mark on the end of the cable to recognize each camera. And also connect the DVR to the monitor. If there is LAN/modem, we can connect the DVR to the router or modem in order to access to internet.

By now, the CCTV Cameras have been installed. Next we turn on the power to test if they are working in good condition.
